This event is an opportunity to hear from two leading women in our local community about their personal journeys of leadership and will provide tips and advice for women striving for leadership positions.

Mayor Cr Bearsley was elected to Council in October 2012 and was elected as Kingston’s 19th Mayor on 11 November 2015. Prior to a career change which saw her take on the role as a specialist IT teacher at a local primary school, Cr Bearsley worked for almost a decade at IBM Australia as an account manager for small to medium businesses.

Denise Langford grew up, lives and works locally. Running numerous businesses has led to state, national and international leadership positions.

Married for 46 years with three children and 9 grandchildren she began her working life at a time when few women worked whilst having a family. Today she is a ‘working grandmother”- an active participant in business and voluntary leadership roles, whilst assisting her children’s families manage their busy working and family lives.

The event will also feature a mini business expo as well as a mini speed networking session facilitated by Kerryn Powell from Your Time Matters
